Hi! My name is Jenny and I am a digital nomad.

I'm a Project Coordinator for a Toronto-based Organ Transplant Software company called Afflo. The work is exciting, fulfilling and, at times, stressful. The company fully supports remote work, which enables me to pursue my nomadic lifestyle. One of Afflo’s senior executives sent me a heart plushie this past Christmas.

I don't have a permanent home and travel with a laptop, suitcase and, of course, my heart plushie.

This page is a collection of recent travel images of me and my heart.

For me, home truly is where the heart is!

Biggest challenges of being a digital nomad?

You have to have Heart to be a nomad and hold down a full time job!

Photo Location: Ayacucho, Peru

This is a common scene for me. I get on a plane and head for a new destination and adventure every few weeks.

It’s exciting to think about what the next location will bring, but a bit sad to leave behind the last place, with it’s sights, sounds and new friends.

You have to have Heart to be able to live this lifestyle.

Sunsets make my Heart happy, in so many ways!

Like every new place, sunsets are always unique, but they also provide a sense of familiarity, no matter where I and my Heart may end up at the end of each day.

Constantly travelling can be very difficult. It can “squeeze” you in many ways.

My Heart keeps pushing me to pack up and move to new places and new adventures.

Photo Location: 69 Lagoon, Ancash, Peru

Sometimes I can be in very busy and populated cities and towns, but it can be very lonely, even surrounded by so many people.

New friends come and go, and some stay in my life for a long time or even forever.

But I can always count on my Heart to be with me.

Feels like a long way to go and a difficult climb. To be able to have a community of fellow Digital Nomads is wonderful.

I hope soon more Hearts can join me on this journey.

Photo Location: Cusco, Peru

It’s all a balance, I always make sure to have some time for fun and relaxation.

Having Heart, and a beer, can make everything better sometimes.

All work and no play, makes Jenny a grumpy girl! LOL

Photo Location: San Blas, Cusco, Peru. Though that should be San Beeras, non?

Sunset, beaches and my Heart.

Who could ask for anything more?

Well…..maybe a pisco sour cocktail in Peru?

Photo Location: Punta Hermosa, Lima, Peru.

We cannot live by beaches alone, mountains and lakes make for spectacular views.

Photo Location: Paron Lake, Caraz, Peru.

Volcanoes are unpredictable, sometimes frightening, and also very majestic. Kind of like my nomadic lifestyle.

But if you have Heart, you can face such challenges, even if they scare you sometimes, and grow as a result of the experiences.

My travels are a spiritual journey, not just a physical one.

This has helped me become a better person in many ways. I’ve learned how to be independent, how to face my fears, how to adapt to constant change and maybe most importantly, how to wear my Heart on my sleeve and make new friends wherever I go.
